Warrior Code: Why Even Study Spirituality?

Warrior Code: Why Study Spirituality?

Warrior is defined by Webster as a person "who fights in battles and is known for having courage and skill."  Among "conscious" groups, the word "God, Goddess, Queen, and King" gets claimed more often than not. The word "Warrior," though? Few and far between.

Maybe the idea of being a God or Goddess is empowering. Gods can move on their own time. Goddesses create at will and are bound by the rules of no man. Queens and Kings are bosses and held "above" certain other people by birthright. They sit on thrones and give orders.

It makes sense that in a so-called conscious or even spirit-centered community, words like "warrior" are rarely spoken.  Conscious people, by definition are simply "aware."  There are no standards or rules to confirm who is or is not conscious.  All are welcome.

Spiritual leaders are trusted to have masterd the art and science of connecting with the spirit realm. They are not urged by communities to be active in community building. Our "new age" spirit leaders tend to cater mostly to clients who "come-a-callin," seeking remedies that will help them to avoid battles, as well.

A warrior, however, must mentally, spiritually, and physically work hard to protect a people. They must endure constant trainings and initiations to even earn the title.  They must be deemed worthy to fight and defend their selves, village, family, and nation by other warriors, also skilled in battle.

Then, they must act.  A warrior is not labled as such, unless action is the product of their trainings.

In 2014, the war is as spiritual as it has always been and it is as physical as it has always been. Dark and Light play off of each other as they always have, inside and outside of us.  Both seem to be made to balance each other. At times, one has been known to "out weigh" the other for a season until again, balance is achieved.

We exist today, in a global state of imbalance. Prayer , Social Security, and TV are the gods of our elders and children. As a result, our sources of wisdom and the heirs of our future are entrusted to known enemies.

We are indeed at war. The work is plenty and the workers are few. Not one Goddess, God, King or Queen is present or will arise to accept the role of every mother, father, teacher, organizer, fundraiser, or builder necessary to pull us from the graves we're sinking in.

A code, however, has been suggested to make a warrior out of each person in a community.  Not one should be spared a part in this war, at a time when it has been blatanlty waged and is at the doorstep at every home.

This war begins with self and it will end with those who realize that peace must be fought for.

Honor, Integrity, Character, and Credibility are, so far, the only acquisitions touched on by Chief H. Yuya Assaan-Anu in the following blogtalk radio segments.  Listen, take notes, apply, listen, and take notes again to begin the steps of taking back what is, by Divine right...yours.
